Daimon (Half-Blood #0,5) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Summary:
"Love in my world usually ended up with someone hearing 'I smite thee ' as she was cursed to be some lame flower for the rest of her life." For three years, Alexandria has lived among mortals--pretending to be like them and trying to forget the duty she'd been trained to fulfill as a child of a mortal and a demigod. At seventeen, she's pretty much accepted that she's a freak by mortal standards... and that she'll never be prepared for that duty. According to her mother, that's a good thing. But as every descendant of the gods knows, Fate has a way of rearing her ugly head. A horrifying attack forces Alex to flee Miami and try to find her way back to the very place her mother had warned her she should never return-the Covenant. Every step that brings her closer to safety is one more step toward death... because she's being hunted by the very creatures she'd once trained to kill. The daimons have found her.

Review:
This was a great introduction of the series with AWESOME story-line, characters and a perfect paranormal element to it! This type of book is what i look for in a good series. And the main character is pretty bad-ass. I love how she isn't letting one sad accident get to her easily. Not only is the writing amazing, the book cover just draws you in. I can't wait to start reading the series! I give it 5 stars!!

The Host by Stephanie Meyer

Summary:
Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. Our world has been invaded by an unseen enemy. Humans become hosts for these invaders, their minds taken over while their bodies remain intact and continue their lives apparently unchanged. Most of humanity has succumbed.

When Melanie, one of the few remaining "wild" humans, is captured, she is certain it is her end. Wanderer, the invading "soul" who has been given Melanie's body, was warned about the challenges of living inside a human: the overwhelming emotions, the glut of senses, the too-vivid memories. But there was one difficulty Wanderer didn't expect: the former tenant of her body refusing to relinquish possession of her mind.

Wanderer probes Melanie's thoughts, hoping to discover the whereabouts of the remaining human resistance. Instead, Melanie fills Wanderer's mind with visions of the man Melanie loves - Jared, a human who still lives in hiding. Unable to separate herself from her body's desires, Wanderer begins to yearn for a man she has been tasked with exposing. When outside forces make Wanderer and Melanie unwilling allies, they set off on a dangerous and uncertain search for the man they both love.

Review:
I've probably read this book, for the fifth time now. I just LOVE and adore this book a lot, and i never grow tired of reading this story. Also because the movie comes out MARCH 2013, whichc i'm super excited about. The characters, story-line and the fascinating world Stephanie Meyer created is exciting and captivating, although this book it not for everyone. It actually makes me want to live there, a little. The very first time i read this book was a few months after it was published. I just love Wanda and Ian together, they're just cute and perfect for each other. I think the ending was very well written, but it was sort of a cliffhanger. When i found out there are gonna e two books after this.. I was estatic! I can't wait to read the second book. I give this book 5 stars!!

Reached (Matched, #3)

Review:
I enjoyed this book, but for me it wasn't as good as the first two books. I do LOVE the story-line  and the idea of getting matched to someone who you'll spend you life with. The characters are likable  well most of them. The book covers are just beautiful. Few things i loved about the whole series are the poems, and how heartwarming the scenes were between Cassia and her grandfather. I'm a little sad that the series are over. The ending was ok, but it wasn't as perfect as i would like it to be. I give it 3 stars.

Dark Star by Bethany Frenette

Summary:
Audrey Whitticomb has nothing to fear. Her mother is the superhero Morning Star, the most deadly crime-fighter in the Twin Cities, so it's hard for Audrey not to feel safe. That is, until she's lured into the sweet night air by something human and not human--something with talons and teeth, and a wide, scarlet smile.

Now Audrey knows the truth: her mom doesn't fight crime at night. She fights Harrowers--livid, merciless beings who were trapped Beneath eons ago. Yet some have managed to escape. And they want Audrey dead, just because of who she is: one of the Kin.

To survive, Audrey will need to sharpen the powers she has always had. When she gets close to someone, dark corners of the person's memories become her own, and she sometimes even glimpses the future. If Audrey could only get close to Patrick Tigue, a powerful Harrower masquerading as human, she could use her Knowing to discover the Harrowers' next move. But Leon, her mother's bossy, infuriatingly attractive sidekick, has other ideas. Lately, he won't let Audrey out of his sight.

When an unthinkable betrayal puts Minneapolis in terrible danger, Audrey discovers a wild, untamed power within herself. It may be the key to saving her herself, her family, and her city. Or it may be the force that destroys everything--and everyone--she loves.

Review:
I thought this book was pretty good. I really liked Leon because of how he always wants to protect Audrey from danger. There were parts where i knew what was going to happen, but the rest was a shock for me. The story-line was very well written as well. Overall i think this book was better that i'd hope it would be. I've read much more worse books than this, and i'm glad this isn't one of them. I give it 3 stars.

Review:
The description of this book drew me in. I was curious and intrigued to as what this book contained. The story was a little slow at first, but when i read a little more, that characters and the story-line really grew on me. How the author writes the book was really wonderful  The ending threw me off guard. My heart almost stopped at the ending. The book was well written and has a good message. Review:
This is another romance book i liked a lot! The story-line and the characters was well written. Although it reminded me a lot of "The Selection". I really LOVED that one, but it love 'em or leave 'em wasn't as good. I knew how the ending was gonna be halfway through the book so it wasn't a surprise. This book wasn't terrible nor was it super good. I can say that i've read better books that this. I give it 3,5 stars!

Review:
I thought this book was another 'Girl falling in love with her bestfriend' type of book, which it was but the storyline is more raw. There's a lot going on with the story even though some parts was slow. I really liked Riley and Clay's relationship and how close they were as bestfriends. I was  really annoyed at Blake's character, i knew there were something wrong with him. The ending was perfect! I give it 4 stars!!

Predestined (Existence Triology#2) by Abbi Glines

Summary:
You would think after helping save her boyfriend from an eternity in Hell that things would go back to normal. Well, as normal as life can be when you can see souls and your boyfriend is Death. But for Pagan Moore, things are just getting weirder.

The high school quarterback and reigning heartthrob, Leif Montgomery, is missing. While the town is in a frenzy of worry, Pagan is a nervous wreck for other reasons. Apparently good ‘ol Leif isn’t your average teenage boy. He isn’t even human. According to Death, Leif doesn’t have a soul. The quarterback may have skipped town but he’s still showing up in Pagan’s dreams... uninvited.

Dank has known from the beginning Leif wasn’t human. But he hadn’t worried about a simple soulless creature. Now, he realizes he made a grave mistake. Pagan’s soul has been marked since birth as a restitution, to a spirit so dark not even Death walks near it. Dank knows saving Pagan’s soul won’t be easy but Pagan is his. And he’s already proven he’ll defy Heaven to keep her. If Hell wants a piece of him too, then bring it on.

I enjoyed reading this book. I was really sad reading chapter 11, couldn't believe that happened. I think this one is better than the first one.
I used to love Leif in the first half of the book, but not i just don't like him anymore, I think he's a coward person for not standing up to his father. The ending was shocking, and it's one of those endings that makes you want to read the next book. I can't wait till the next book comes out in stores! I give it 4,5 stars!!

I enjoyed this book so much! I loved the storyline, the characters and the fact that it's greek mythology related! I liked Allana's characterbecause she's so caring and loving towards Cacia. Halfway through the book there were things happening that caught me by surprise. At first i didn't really like it, but towards the ending, i loved the book even more! The Death Cure (Maze Runner, #3)

Review:
I read this book right after i was done with "The Scorch Trials", cause i just couldn't wait and i was excited as to how the author would end the book. I really had high hopes for this one, just because i loved the first two books so much. When i read it halfway, i felt that it lacked excitement, like the way i felt in the first two books. Although i liked the originality of the story, but i wasn't really excited to read the next chapter as i did last time. There were sad moments that made me tear up. But the ending was for me the best part of all. I give it 4 stars!!

The Scorch Trials (#2) by James Dashner

Summary:
Solving the Maze was supposed to be the end. No more puzzles. No more variables. And no more running. Thomas was sure that escape meant he and the Gladers would get their lives back. But no one really knew what sort of life they were going back to.

In the Maze, life was easy. They had food, and shelter, and safety . . . until Teresa triggered the end. In the world outside the Maze, however, the end was triggered long ago.

Burned by sun flares and baked by a new, brutal climate, the earth is a wasteland. Government has disintegrated—and with it, order—and now Cranks, people covered in festering wounds and driven to murderous insanity by the infectious disease known as the Flare, roam the crumbling cities hunting for their next victim . . . and meal.

The Gladers are far from finished with running. Instead of freedom, they find themselves faced with another trial. They must cross the Scorch, the most burned-out section of the world, and arrive at a safe haven in two weeks. And WICKED has made sure to adjust the variables and stack the odds against them.

Thomas can only wonder—does he hold the secret of freedom somewhere in his mind? Or will he forever be at the mercy of WICKED?

I love how the author writes the storyline in this book. This was even more exciting than the first one, and i hate when the first books are always better than the sequel and so on.
